We also connect our participants with the vital, ongoing, wrap-around support services needed to obtain and maintain successful employment. Our individualized approach to service delivery allows us to tailor our programming and supports for each participant maximizing potential effectiveness for all we serve.

Opportunity for Work and Learning has faithfully pursued  the vision to create a world without barriers to employment since its founding in 1961. Initially established as a community vocational rehabilitation program geared toward helping people with disabilities, OWL has since expanded its facilities, programs, and services to better assist individuals in our community overcome barriers to employment and move toward self-sufficiency. 

Today, OWL’s mission is to help individuals overcome barriers to employment to achieve personal and professional growth. OWL offers vocational evaluations, job preparation, workplace essential skills training, job placement and coaching, supported employment, work adjustment and experience, independent living and life skills support, as well as certifications for forklift operation and customer service, and employment in our manufacturing division, the Lexington Manufacturing Center (LMC
