About
An initiative of Art of the Rural, the Kentucky Rural-Urban Exchange (RUX) is a statewide network that unites Kentuckians in common purpose through programs that strengthen intercultural leadership, narrative change, and civic health.
In RUX, we imagine a Kentucky where:
• Kentuckians have a shared sense of place and can see beyond the boundaries that exist between people and places.
• Kentuckians are ambassadors of their communities and of Kentucky, working together to create solutions to the challenges we face.
• Kentuckians are welcome as neighbors in other communities across social, cultural, and geographic divides.

Since our founding in 2014, the KY RUX network has:
- 400+ Kentuckians in every sector & region of the Commonwealth.
- Hosted 100+ forums in communities about local celebrations & challenges.
- Invested over $88,000 through 53 microgrants across sectors in every KY region.
