Arts, Culture & Humanities
The Berea Arts Council (BAC) is a nonprofit community arts organization dedicated to building connection, creativity, and opportunity through accessible arts programming for people of all ages and backgrounds. For over 40 years, BAC has served Berea and the surrounding region by providing exhibitions, educational programs, performances, and community events that celebrate artistic expression and local culture.
We believe the arts are essential to a healthy, vibrant community. Our work focuses on removing barriers to participation by offering free and low-cost programs, scholarships, and inclusive opportunities that ensure everyone can engage with the arts. From youth summer camps and workshops to artist residencies, public events, and multidisciplinary exhibitions, BAC creates welcoming spaces where creativity can thrive.
BAC also partners with local schools, businesses, artists, and community organizations to expand access, support regional artists, and foster collaboration across sectors. Through initiatives that connect art with history, environmental sustainability, and community resilience, we work to strengthen both cultural identity and civic engagement.
As we look toward the future, the Berea Arts Council remains committed to growing our impact, supporting artists, and ensuring that the arts remain a meaningful and accessible part of everyday life in our community.
