On the October 23 call: As part of the national opioid settlement fund, Kentucky has received approximately $900 million. Opioid settlement funds are focused on providing support for prevention, intervention, and treatment. Half of these funds are being distributed via a state grant program while the other half are distributed via local county and city governments. Jessie Halladay, Deputy Director of the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission, and Lauren Carr, Opioid Settlement Advisor at Kentucky Association of Counties (KACo), will provide details on the state grant application updates, including deadlines, tips, and expectations, as well as transparency efforts and potential future funding opportunities. They will also share updates on local distribution, highlight best practices, and point to resources for nonprofits to engage as on-the-ground experts in their communities. Join us to get the latest information, ask questions, and explore how your organization can connect with state and local funding opportunities.
