On the February 23, 2023 call recording: The Consolidated Appropriations Act signed into law on December 29, 2022, included almost 400 pages focused on retirement plans – including some provisions that impact nonprofit employers. This new legislation has become widely known as SECURE 2.0 and builds on the Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement Act of 2019 “SECURE 1.0.” There are 90 retirement plan provisions in this new law, and they are focused on enhancing retirement plan benefits for both plan sponsors and their participants.
