Town Hall Meeting Recording: Opioid Settlement Funds in KY (January 26, 2023)

1/27/2023

KNN hosts calls every other week via Zoom to discuss updates related to COVID-19, nonprofit resources, advocacy initiatives, and other relevant topics. Join us at 10:30am ET every other Thursday.  As part of the national opioid settlement fund, Kentucky has received $478 million. Half of these funds are being distributed to local governments across Kentucky for treatment, prevention, and intervention.

On our 1/26 call, Bryan Hubbard, Chair and Executive Director of the Kentucky Opioid Abatement Advisory Commission and Special Counsel to the Attorney General, joins us to share the latest information on these settlement funds, how they are intended to be spent at the state level, and local distribution, including tips for how nonprofits can engage as on-the-ground experts to help their city and county governments best use these funds to provide opioid treatment, prevention, and intervention.
