January huddle topic: Recruiting Employees from Underrepresented Groups.
The goal of nonprofit organizations is to have a board and staff reflective of the communities they serve. However, many organizations fall short of this goal. In this timely and important 2-Part Interactive Huddle Session Series, we will kick off the year exploring strategies organizations can utilize to successful recruit diverse employees from underrepresented groups. Please be prepared to discuss tactics currently employed by and barriers your organization faces in its recruitment efforts as we collectively look at measures to recruit diverse candidates.
At the conclusion of this session, we will review material in preparation for Part 2 “Retaining and Engaging Employees from Underrepresented Groups,” scheduled for February 7. The topics will complement one another, and you are encouraged - but not required - to attend both sessions in this special two-part series!
Note: The Peer Huddle will NOT be recorded.
