Nonprofit Advocacy Awards - 2023
Let KNN Recognize Your Organization and the Legislators/Government Officials Supporting You with our 2023 Awards Program at Nonprofit Day at the Capitol on March 8!
KNN's Nonprofit Voice Awards recognize the successful legislative and advocacy efforts of our members that impact the nonprofit sector and/or those they serve.
KNN's Nonprofit Advocacy Partner Awards recognize legislators and/or government officials supportive of the public policy and advocacy efforts of KNN members (and other nonprofits/non-members when appropriate).
Considerations for Inclusion in the Awards Program at Nonprofit Day at the Capitol:
- Active KNN membership is required.
- Awards are presented to KNN members who successfully address public policy issues and/or worked to successfully pass legislation in the previous legislative session (for 2023, we will recognize efforts from 2020, 2021, 2022). We love to recognize our members who are:
- Working in collaboration with other nonprofit partners
- Engaging the community in their effort
- Advancing the sector through their work
- KNN also seeks to recognize legislators and/or government officials identified by the KNN member(s) seeking Voice Award recognition for receipt of Nonprofit Advocacy Partner Award(s). Nonprofits and legislators/government officials will receive award recognition at Nonprofit Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, March 8.
Notes about the Process:
- Nominations must be received by 3pm on Friday, February 17, 2023.
- Confirmation of recognition will be provided by KNN no later than Friday, February 24.
- Legislators/government officials will receive an invitation to receive the award from KNN and the nonprofit(s) recognizing them.
- Nonprofit Voice Award recipients will join KNN in presenting the Nonprofit Advocacy Partner Awards to recipients.
- The 2023 awards program will cover legislation from 2020, 2021, and 2022. On the nomination form, KNN members are asked to prioritize their nominations. KNN will do our best to recognize as many members and legislators/officials as possible in the time permitted on 3/8/23.
- Note that legislator(s)/government official(s) who have shown extraordinary service to/in the nonprofit sector and those who have made a considerable contribution either to the nonprofit community and/or increased awareness of the economic impact of nonprofits are also eligible for nomination/recognition.
